Summer holiday for both dd and I

The problem being I want sun, sand, a pool and a sun bed, dd wants local town / village to explore herself safely, she's 16. We would like evening entertainment, walking distance from the beach and a good variety of food. Dd does not like the sun so nowhere extremely hot, have ruled out Turkey for that reason.

Budget trip, likely Spain, Italy or even Southern France.

1 week, all inclusive and going late June / early July.

Any suggestions?

I think SeaClub Alcudia meets all your requirements.

A couple of friends went to Bemidorm fairly recently. We all sniggered, but they said it was THE BEST holiday they'd ever had ( they are well travelled) and had all the things you describe. It was easy to find quieter places, it's not all a hectic resort, and the scenery was breathtaking. Its top of my list now and I intend to go next year.

Roda Corfu. My teens love it too.

I'd look at Greece, on the mainland or an Island. Early enough in the year it shouldn't be TOO hot and those towns and villages are great for exploring if you pick a bigger island. Kalamata on the mainland might be great too although I haven't spent much time in the town so don't know what it's like.

Canaries ? We've always gone in October so not sure how hot it is in June, Northern Tenerife would be a bit less warm so look for Puerto de la Cruz. Our friends stayed in the Hotel Botanico which looked amazing- not sure how budget it would be but June is shoulder season and Jet2 still have a sale on.

Benalmadena could be a good call. She can explore the various locations. A range of hotel types. Likewise you're a stone's throw from traditional Spain in Mijas.

Rhodes? Somewhere along the coast just outside Rhodes Town as there are plenty of buses and taxis not too hot at that time of year and there’s a cooling breeze quite often

I'd recommend Es Cana in Ibiza, lovely compact resort with everything you are looking for

I'd second Es Cana. There's a few bars (I think one is called Charlies) which has evening entertainment. And everywhere to explore is either via a bus or water taxi. There's a fab market too. We've seen some pretty good DJs at Jacaranda Lounge which you pay a fiver to use their pool and then get to enjoy the music.
