Booking flights before baby is born

I am wanting to book flights home to Australia to see family next year. My baby won't be due until March but I want to book the flights now.

Does anyone know if I can book a flight for an infant now? Or can I book her on at a later date? So book my flight now then add her on?

It's many years since I did this but I was able book a ticket for Baby_Surname and then just added DS's name when he's been born.

Yes that's what I did. We phoned and added her once she was born and had a name.

Remember to get a passport asap once you've registered her! I may have overlooked this with one of mine...

Yes I booked a flight when pregnant and booked baby my surname and then rang up once baby was born to update to include her name.
