Holidays
Croatia - where to go?
TomAllenWife · 27/12/2021 14:31
Where would you choose in Croatia for a couple, no kids, plenty of bars & restaurants
MerryMarigold · 27/12/2021 14:33
Definitely go to Plitvice lakes for a few days. Split is lovely. I'd go there and then a beach and then lakes.
TomAllenWife · 27/12/2021 15:50
Don't want to move around just looking for somewhere to chill during the day and walk out at nite
MerryMarigold · 27/12/2021 16:14
I guess it depends if you want beach, watersports, shopping, tourist attractions, what time of year you are going etc. More specific would help.

I'm not a beach lover but enjoy walking along a beachfront in the evening with restaurants & bars
End of June
Pool all day

Have a look at Brown Beach House Croatia. Fly to Split, and a 10 min cab ride. You can walk to Trogir for bars and restaurants, and head over the water to Split for the same. Lovely.

@beggsie
Apparently it has Croatia's most instagrammed pool.

Ooo we’re looking at Croatia for next year. We’re about to book Mlini which is outside Dubrovnik but with a pretty village and plenty to walk about there. I can’t wait. It’s next to the sea and also 20 mins away from Dubrovnik city for the site seeing

Went to milna on brac island. Lovely harbour vibe. Plenty of restaurans not so much bars though. Very relaxed. Limited transport off though if you want to explore. Hvar was livelier

I went to Split in September. It was fabulous. Would definitely recommend. We rented an apartment right in the centre but as per the earlier suggestion Trogir is also lovely so that sounds like a good idea.

Are you aware of the COVID data for Croatia, it's pretty shocking?
I looked as an alternative to a US holiday but they had half a million new cases in the last 24 hours. Half a million!! THeir death rate is over 3000 per million people. Ours is 2000. I'd want to be sure about health care over there if I got COVID there.
