Can't face another Autumn half-term like this year as it rained and was dark for two weeks! If we went away where could we go?

Two boys who'll be 4.5 and 2.5.

Was thinking....

  1. Centreparcs?
  2. Carribean?

Can't really face a long flight with two small children though.

Guess it depends what sort of thing you want. Do you want childcare/creche facilities and on-site activities? Do you prefer your own space in a lovely villa?
Self catering or hotel?

We went to Cyprus - 4 hour flight and it wa 28 degrees every day.

MY LO's were 3 & 1.10 when we went and it was great.

This year we went, with friends, to northern France. We booked a cottage through Welcome Cottages 30min from DLP, 30 mins from Paris. We did 4 days at DLP, a day in Epernay champagne tasting, and a day at the Sealife centre. We were lucky with the weather and only had one wet day (when we went to sealife centre so okay).

I would NOT go to the carribean in mid october.... far to close to hurrican season for comfort

(i am off to the carribean in feb 08 time though, and we feb this year as well )

Booked Centreparcs...new interiors, getting in car rather than flight, indoor waterworld, bikes, entertainment...it all won me over in the end. You can probably tell that we're pretty tired these days.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Only got a year to wait now!
