Am considering Mexico at feb half term. Anyone been and can you recommend hotels, looking for all inc and kids clubs. I am worried I would not like cancun however it seems you can’t do 10 days from UK to puerta Vallarta. Thank you!

Mexico is currently on the red list.

Moon palace gets really good reviews and trip advisor often have some of the cancun AI in their travellers choice awards so it’s worth a look there

Mexico is currently on the red list, meaning you will have to pay the hotel quarantine fees and quarantine on your return.
However, I assume you are thinking that Feb 2022 it should be OK re quarantine.
We went to Playa del Carmen, which is just outside of Cancun. It is lovely.
However, remember, the flights are around 10 hours long, plus transfer, which is really tough for young children.
We did all - inclusive at the Rui Lupita. Not sure about Kids Clubs, but there was a children's pool, and also kid's entertainment early evening.

We went to tulum, it was nice but to be honest it got a bit boring staying mainly on the resort. We did go to playa del Carmen for the day which was a nice change of scenery but also felt a little unsafe at times if I'm being honest! The flights are long aswell which was hard with a two year old.
We stayed at the Bahia coba

I'm in the US so I've been to Mexico loads of times.

By FAR the best hotel I've stayed is The Paradisus in Playa feel Carmen. Gorgeous resort, great food. They have a playroom, kids pool and kids clubs too.

I highly recommend the family concierge rooms if you can stretch to it. It's like a mini resort within a resort - there's a family only restaurant and family only pool.

Thanks everyone. Wouldn’t be looking to book until no longer on red list. Just wanted opinions while browsing holiday destinations.

I loved Mexico and can’t wait to go back with my DC. We booked all our excursions through “ Experiencias Xcaret” before we went . They seem to run most of the tours out there. Pick up and drop off from hotel doors. The excursions were amazing and definitely family friendly.

Thanks mother chicken. Which hotels would you recommend?

Hi. I have been 5 times. The best 1 was bahia principle akumal. The Occidental xcaret a close second. Both amazing. Was supposed to be going to the grand palladium last year which also looks great. The only problem going for a week is the jet lag especially if going straight into work/school the next day. Love the Rivera Maya so much.

Thanks born slippery!
