So DS 16 had Covid in May. He did the 10days isolation and a LFT at end.

He needs to travel to Germany next week and as he's not eligable for a vaccine this end, I think I need something to show he did have Covid ....he's getting a PCR test certificate beforehand but Ive just read about this certificate of recovery but not sure how to go about it

I don't think they are accepted for entry to Germany are they?

I live in Germany. A certificate of recovery would exempt him from quarantine, as the UK is considered a high-incidence risk area.

This is from the health ministry's website:

Proof of a previous infection with the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus issued in written or digital form in German, English, French, Italian or Spanish, if the test is based on laboratory diagnostics comprising a nucleic acid test (PCR, PoC-PCR or other nucleic acid amplification test methods) and it was performed no less than 28 days and no more than six months previously.

So ideally he needs his initial PCR test result that confirmed the infection. I would get him a letter from his GP confirming all the above information. You can upload the required documents in advance on the registration portal as well, to pre-clear the quarantine requirement.

@EileenGC it's so confusing what they need if yr not vaccinated.

Ive got the NHS email confirming his positive test.

Do you really think he would be exempt seeing as the UK is classed as high? It really would make it so much easier if he didnt need to quarantine.

Will try and get GP to email a letter Monday stating about Covid in May.

Will get a PCR done and certificate

Get a letter from the sports club to say why he's travelling and where he will be staying (address/host family).

Fill out the electronic entry form

Cant think what else he will need Confused
