How long are passport renewals taking at the moment please? I might need to change mine into my married name as I am having an issue with my passport name not matching my NHS vaccination records. It is 6 weeks until we travel... Thanks for any advice in advance.

We did ours earlier in the year and took less than a week to arrive once the countersignature was done.

May be busier now with restrictions for travel relaxing but I'd say you're probably ok with 6 weeks if you do it now, and choose a counter-signatory who will do it fast!

Might be quicker and easier to get your GP to change your name on their records. Someone had a post about a similar issue the other day and were able to change the name on the NHS app via the GP receptionist within 24 hrs.

Childs renewal, but the website said 10 weeks, and it took less than a week. Got it back last week.

Thanks everyone, much appreciated, I'm going to go for it!

I did a child renewal in April, which took 10 days (and that was because they can to email me about something), my aunt did an adult renewal last month and it took a week. On both occasions the website said to allow 10 weeks.

Mine came back in just under 3 weeks in the end, thanks everyone for your help.
