Where have you been for a Fabulous November Holiday?

I've got a BA two for one Avios reward flight ticket that needs using up before the end of November.

I can't do long haul ( I have to use Avios and won't have enough) so where should I go where it will still be warm?

I love beach/pool holidays so would prefer that really.

Thank you!

We've booked for Cape Verde in November. I'm not sure if it will happen though, as its still on the 'red' list. Its a holiday that's been moved 4 times already due to covid rules. We picked it as the flight time is just about on the limit of what I can cope with. Caribbean/Mexico etc are just too far.

Would Oman or Dubai be too far?
I’m not sure Southern Europe would be warm enough for me to sit on a beach in November but you might get lucky weather wise.

Canary Islands?

SynchroSwimmer · 11/07/2021 16:23

Antalya area of Turkey and Fuerteventura

Uniformicorn · 11/07/2021 19:02

Cyprus you can sit on the beach and swim in the sea in November

We've done Cape Verde in November twice. Lovely and warm, (late mid- late 20s) pristine beaches on the south/resort part of Sal. Not sure if BA fly there though.

That's good to hear. I'm so hoping my Cape Verde November holiday goes ahead.

Lanzarote! Or any of the canaries really but Lanzarote is great. Weather will be 23 at least, nice Spanish food, fascinating places to go to like a lagoon in a hollowed out tunnel of lava, or a drive through volcanic landscape itself, nice arty locals, relaxed island folk type vibe. Not too far away either. Love it there!

We got married in November and went on honeymoon to Madeira, the weather was lovely.

Historytoo · 11/07/2021 20:01

Not Crete. We went there for October half term once. Wet and cold. Worst holiday I have ever been on.

Heyha · 11/07/2021 20:03

The Canaries are lovely over winter, you could take your pick. 24 degrees on Christmas day!

Redtartanshoes · 12/07/2021 13:27

Marrakech is lovely in winter.

Marrakech is lovely in winter.
I was coming along to post the same. Sunbathing if not swimming weather.
idontlikealdi · 12/07/2021 15:43

Oman

Horehound · 12/07/2021 15:44

Langkawi

MonkeysandParrots · 12/07/2021 20:05

Seconding Marrakech, also Canaries, Sicily, Cyprus.

minipie · 12/07/2021 20:44

Marrakech!

MiniMaxi · 12/07/2021 20:48

Perhaps too far (8h flight) but Barbados was great

LaVieEstBelle159 · 12/07/2021 20:57

Tenerife/Los Cristianos was wonderful, lovely and warm. Definitely don't go to Fuerteventura though. It's advertised as the country of sunshine but it was freezing and rained the whole time we were there; spoke to other people when we got back and they said the same!

SapphosRock · 12/07/2021 21:08

Barbados! It is lovely in November and the flight isn't too long.

mantlepiece · 12/07/2021 23:11

Yes, Marrakesh. Have had 3 November/December holidays there and enjoyed every one.

Another recommendation for Canaries, probably Lanzarote, but all the islands offer a huge range of accommodation and things to do, that is so much more than laying in the sun and drinking, if that's not what you're into. Of course, if you are, they do that really well too, but too many people on here can't see past that image that they write off the whole place as somewhere they'd hate.

Movinghouseatlast · 13/07/2021 13:24

Hello- I can't do long haul as I need to pay with Avios points to get the two for one deal. I haven't got enough points!

Yes Barbados is great but I can't afford that!

Very true. I like to do 50% lazing and 50% walking/visiting things on my hols (one day on, one day off) and I didn't struggle at all with either during a week in Gran Can. I was expecting it to be grim, hot but grim, but it was a great little break!
