We've just come back from a week in Cornwall with our DS, lovely but just too long a drive for him (we're Manchester based) we want to take him away again September time, can anyone give me any recommendations for places closer to home? Partner had suggested North Wales but I'm totally lost as to where as I've always gone to Cornwall in the UK! We'd be looking a self catering ideally walking distance to a beach. Thanks

I think North Wales is an excellent idea, there are loads of things to do and great beaches, plus not so far to drive. Winner!
I don't have any suggestions re places to stay though, what kind of accommodation do you want? Caravan, holiday cottage?

Look for Llandudno and surrounding area .. all great for families with kids
