Personally I would choose Disneyland Paris. I thought Lapland was great but not the sort of thing I’d do again. It’s also very cold for small children. And Disney is magical in every sense Smile

Very different sort of holidays, so it would depend what your DC are into, are they big into the Disney characters etc, do they enjoy rides, does the older one still believe in Santa etc. I think that would sway it for me - if its the last year seeing Santa is likely to be magical I'd do Lapland, as Disney could still be amazing in a couple of years.

I'd go to Disneyland Paris (and I've been to both). I echo what the first poster said - Lapland is bloody cold and everything you'll want to do is outside - whereas DLP will never get much below zero, even if you go in January - and you can travel into Paris on the train easily if you fancy some culture/shopping/whatever. Plus, the food is MUCH nicer in France than Finland!

I've never been to Lapland, but we thought Disneyland in Paris was a bit pants. It's very small. And we thought that the mix of American and french culture didn't meld well.
I wish we'd saved for the full on American experience.

We are planning for disney world florida in 2-3 years when dc are older

We did both Lapland and Disneyland Paris in 2019 - Lapland was vastly better in our opinion. Asked which the kids would choose to go back to they both wish for Lapland again. They were 4 and 6 at the time.

Lapland. Dlp is dreadful.

BenoneBeauty · 13/03/2021 12:04

Lapland - it's such an amazing once in a lifetime experience. DLP is fun but just a theme park and whilst it's better than Alton Towers for example, it's not a once in a lifetime experience by any stretch.

Lapland is amazing. Didn't like Disneyland Paris much, just like a theme park and some queues were 2 hours. I wouldn't take under 5s to Lapland due to cold but 5 is OK. We did husky sleigh rides, reindeer rides, Christmas meal with fireworks and Santa arriving on a sleigh, elf school, gingerbread workshop, went into Artic circle and stayed at hotel with big swimming pool with spa / jacuzzis kids could use and indoor playcentre. It was very cold but you aren't outside that long, its short bursts and the travel company give you lots of gear to make it OK. Food wasn't great but it was better than Disneyland Paris food.

Both my kids would love to go back to Lapland whereas last time we took them to Disneyland Paris DS said whilst in a long queue please don't take us to this awful place again. DH and I were very happy to hear that. Grin
