"mini" hurricane in Majorca last week...surely we're not the only ones to have witnessed 15 minutes of terror!?!...

Been going for years.
Have seen Magalluf's man-made beach totally destroyed by the sea...about 20 years ago.
Was there last week.Even the locals say they have never,ever seen anything like it.
It was a true hurricane...ok it lasted 15 minutes... but people were killed...!Were there any Mumsnetters in Majorca there?

I left the weekend before (29th sept)- I was whinging about the weather cos it rained nearly all week- am now counting my blessings!

Friends MIL, had to land in Menorca instead of Palma becoause of the hurricanes.

One of the girls on the april 2007 lives there - she said it was pretty scarey!!!
