Travel pushchair? Big or small?

Taking my 1 year old on holiday at the end of August , when looking around on other posts people tend to take tiny compact pushchairs , is there a reason for this ?

The airline said they would take any pushchair that folds no matter the weight .

Thinking of just taking my big pushchair , has a great extendable hood , huge basket and is comfortable for her to nap in anywhere.

Would this be crazy?

As long as it can be folded down it will be fine. We take a travel one for the convenience when arriving at the airport after the flight.
