when is it a nice time to go to New York (weather wise)?

Just wanted to know when it would be good to visit NY...will be taking DDs 8 and 3...Don't want to go when its cold or too hot!!

Summer boiling, winter freezing - take your pick!

NY City or State?? Autumn has nice fall folliage and not too bad. weather-wise. Say low-mid 20s. Sept & Oct should be okay. In the spring April, May are also good. Really Cold weather usually is gone.

If its cold in the state it is freezing in the city - the wind is channelled down the streets

Halloween is a good time to go. I went years ago and they really go to town over there. All the shop assistants were dressed up and there is a parade too. Also, it wasn't too cold and you've got the excuse of getting your Christmas shopping done early and on the cheap!

I've been at the end of March and it was pretty cold, but glorious and sunny. I've been in mid September and it was lovely and warm, they were having an indian summer. Not too hot. According to my cousin right now its getting pretty cold though.

donmt go jan or feb, freezing. dont go july or august, really hot. any other time would be good.

September is really nice, probably the first 2 weeks. Go to Bubba Gumps restaurantin Times Square, the kids will love it

we're going mid-late october, and i'm desperately trying to figure out the kind of clothes to take, depending on what the weather's going to do....
