Star Wars Exhibition - County Hall - has anyone been? Is it worth the money?

£16.50 adults £12.50 for children

OK, who am I kidding? We are going to London at half term, and are staying at the Travel Inn at County Hall. I am dragging the kids to The Terracotta Army exhibition at the British Museum, the Arctic thing at the NHM, and Hampton Court.

But they will be wetting themselves when they see the Star Wars marketing, and will refuse to go anywhere else until they've been

I think it will be a long time til we go to the Big Smoke again: in the past we've always done the 'free' stuff. But this year everything we want to do is costing and arm and a leg.

Blimey, if they do Terracotta uncomplainingly they deserve SW imo!

roisin · 22/09/2007 17:38

ha ha

They're looking forward to Terracotta actually!

How long to do the Star Wars exhibition?

(We've already got a packed itinerary, but I don't want to go, so I could have a couple of hours free and meet up with an old friend! Oh blast, I bet he will want to go and see the exhibition too.)

No idea, sorry, we haven't been

Family ticket brings the price down to £12.50 each for family of 4.

Just booked for ds's birthday treat.

FabulousKbear · 24/09/2007 07:55

check on lastminute.com in case they have discounts on the tickets

You can see all the displays in about an hour, then 20 mins for the Jedi school. If you want a video of you having a jedi fight that could double the time you are there as the queses are so long.

roisin · 24/09/2007 16:34

Oh thanks goingfor3 - that's really helpful.

If they are big star wars fans then it will be the highlight of the holiday! DS is 5 and big into star wars and we really enjoyed it although it is not cheap! All the original set models and costumes are there. I don't know who enjoeyd it more - me or ds....

Ha! We ran out of time, so it was a toss up between Star Wars and the NHM. Star Wars won (narrowly), but was a big disappointment.

I thought it was very expensive for what it was.

We all much preferred the British Museum (Terracotta Army) and Hampton Court Palace!

We did both Star Wars & Terracotta Army this half term too - loved both though tbh only DD2 and DS are big SW fans. Worth it for us just to see DS asking all the actors really specific questions - apparently the Death Star looks as though it was based on one of the moons of Jupiter!! SW was lots of money though - but a better buy than the London Eye on a foggy day !!
