Please recommend me a wonderful resort

We've had a really tough year, with one of our children being quite ill. He's recently been given the all clear and we want to have a lovely summer holiday this year.
If anyone can recommend the perfect place, it's you lovely vipers!
This is what we'd like:
Mid to late 20s in August.
Pool but close to beach
Preferably all-inclusive, but not a cattle market.
I'd like somewhere a bit "different" but DP is not quite so adventurous.
2 adults, 3 kids
Budget about 4K for the right place
Sandy beaches
Within walking distance of restaurants, shops, etc.
Little bit of culture

Please, please, please help me. I want to get it just right this year. We really need some time away as a family to heal. Thank you so much!

4K without flights? And for a week?

Have you looked at package companies?
Or visited an independent travel agent?

Tui are known to do cheap AI holidays (I'm not recommending them), & Newmarket are also reasonably priced.

Good luck OP, but I think the above is the holy grail, ie what most people are looking for, but it's very difficult to hit all those criteria.

Mexico would hit a lot of those, but whether its doable fir 3 kids and a 4k budget, I have no idea.
