Hi,

Just wondering if people with experience of any of the different holiday parks in Europe could recommend one particular company over another? Are there any parks that people would recommend? Thank you!

It depends what you want from the trip. Centerparcs tend to have better facilities on site. We've been to Eperheide and De Kempervennen with CP and De Lommerbergen (ex CP) with Landal. All were quite similar.

Also Landal, we've been to Hoog Vaals and Sonnenberg, both of which are smaller, prettier and had lots to do in the local area. Landal tends to be cheaper. Never tried Roompot. There is also Duinrell with its onsite themepark.

We've been to Landal Het Vennenbos; CP De Kempervennen; and CP Le Lac d'Ailette. They were all pretty similar - although I think Landal Het Vennenbos was formerly a CP. I think Het Vennebos was slightly cheaper and it was also my favourite - but I think that was partly because it was our first CP-type holiday and DD was just about old enough for the slides and it was just lovely seeing how much she enjoyed it. Plus Het Vennebos has red squirrels - adorable.
