Self Catering holiday abroad

Hi

We are a family of 5 with 3 kids aged 7, 3 and 2 and have booked a 2 week self catering holiday in Ayia Napa to attend a friend's wedding. We have always been all inclusive and had the safety net of all in so self catering abroad is worrying me slightly. Can anyone provide their experiences of self catering abroad with kids and tips on how much spends you need. Any advice on if I should take bits of food over and how expensive it is. Thanks

We have always gone self catering with our children, We find it much more flexible than being restricted to a hotel.

I wouldn't think you need to take anything with you as they will have supermarkets selling everything you need out there.

How much to take depends on how often you want to eat out and how much you drink. We usually allow £100 - £150 a day for 2 adults and 2 children for food and drink, eating lunch and dinner each day out.
