Holiday with 2 families

Hello, hoping for some advice and experiences.
We are looking to go abroad with another family. 4 adults, 4 kids (1,2,3,4). We would ideally like a hotel, or that style I.e. a good pool, onsite restaurant.
Our issue is that we want to be able to put the kids to bed and sit in a communal space within the accommodation i.e. in a lounge, out on a balcony/ terrace so would need adjoining rooms with shared balcony or a large apartment with 4 bedrooms... I know this is asking a lot but does it exist? How do people go away with another family and not all be in bed by 8pm alone!

Any help appreciated!

Look at resort holiday with condo’s or villas. It really depends on where you want to go, but lots of places have the best of both. Where are you planning on going? It’s definitely easy to achieve what you want, where your evening doesn’t have to end when the kids does!

Hire a villa. We’ve gone away lots of times with other families and sharing a house works well.

We booked a hotel direct and paid cash on arrival, party of ten they gave us fantastic rooms, saved about 40% on travel agent, well worth a few phone calls and a root around on the internet.
Villa is also a good option.

Hotels are no good with kids. Villas or Gites around a shared pool

What sort of country are you after?

Eurocamp or similar We do with another family, it's so relaxed and has so much to offer.

Definitely hire an apartment, house or villa. Get one with a pool. If you are in a resort, town or village there will be plenty of places to eat out. Then you can go back with the kids in the evening and the adults can have snacks wine and a swim together. Also much better if one couple wants to go out and the others babysit. Won’t disturb anyone coming unlike if you had seperate hotel rooms.
