Malaga in October, resort or beach front? WWYD?

Hi, anyone been to Malaga October half term time?

Deciding between staying at a golf type resort with indoor pool, gym etc which means hiring a car and being a bit out of the way or staying in a beach front apartment with sea views about 25 minutes wander via sea front into Malaga.

Weather could be hit or miss, WWYD?

I like malaga, but I like Nerja more! I'd go there in a heartbeat!

I'd stay near the centre or in a nearby resort such as Torremolinos which has great public transport links to the city centre.
We've been at Easter, when the weather is equally changeable, and had lovely holidays.

Thanks both think we will choose sea view apartment, the walk into the centre will be nice.
