I'd be interested in this as well.
Do you have a house to swap?

karenbokaren · 13/09/2019 16:40

I'd love to do a house swap!

karenbokaren · 13/09/2019 16:42

I started a thread in aibu. Hopefully someone can point us to it or stay one there!

Humphriescushion · 13/09/2019 16:45

Think it is just an affiliation with one of the house swap companies, cant remember which. I used guardian home exchange and that worked well.
Would be great if mumsnet had one though.

I've never done it but think it's a great idea.
We have a really nice holiday house in the west of Ireland actually on the wild Atlantic way.
We never let it out as we like to keep it nice but I think if you were swapping you'd expect he swappers to keep your house how they'd like theirs to be kept.

Ooh, replies Grin !

If anybody would like 2 weeks in sunny Sydney over Christmas I would be interested in a house swap. Needs to be close to or in London.

Ours is a 3 bedroom house and you could also use our car.

I’d be interested too. Lovely house in southwest Ireland to swap for an Australian holiday next easter

What a great idea!

Does anyone know if home-swappers usually look after each others pets?
The movie 'The Holiday' is my sole point of reference on this subject.

Aus84 · 28/09/2019 05:07

@movinonup

Everything is negotiable. I personally have to say no fur pets as I'm allergic but have seen heaps of profiles that that mention dogs and cats etc that will need feeding. Sometimes even chickens which my kids would love.

Aus84 · 28/09/2019 05:08

@Carriemac do you have a preference of where in Australia?

Carriemac · 02/10/2019 10:18

we are hopig to travel around, we have friends in melbourne to stay in and our son is in uni there so will be based there/around there for a week and travelling for a couple of weeks after.
