Easyjet to charge for luggage

We 4 flew with easyjet on monday, we had three pieces of luggage, one weighed 23lbs the other two were a lot under. The lady at check in informed me that at present, so long as all my luggage came to no more than 60lbs it would be ok. i.e. 3 cases times 20lb

Apparently from October 1st .
