Our holiday was Thomas Cook, c£4300 for 2 weeks AI, 2 adults 1 child inc unlimited Xcaret, stayed at Occidental which is right next door to the park so you can come and go.
Were there in April, morning 1 beach clear, morning 2 whole bay full of seaweed, all the hotel staff were out clearing it though, they really are always working on it.
Had an amazing time, can't wait to go back when daughter is older so we can do the other parks

Zoom in to see the netting by the buoys keeping the sargussum out. Water so clear you can see fish without snorkel gear.

Kaddm we paid around £7.5k for 14 nights AI nr Akumal for 2 adults and 2 teens

They don't allow a family room with teens so we have two rooms for the first time ever! Not sure what it'll be like...

chichen itza There is no treaking to get to. The tour lasts 3-4 hours but covers the whole site.

We stayed at the occidental didn’t rate it that much they spent a lot of time Fending off time share salesmen that lurked around in the hotel blocks and main areas. Service from our tour operator was terrible booked upgrades but got treated like dirt. Spent first week arguing about upgrade. Until they admitted they got it wrong. Will never book with virgin again.

Resurrecting this old thread to see if anyone who contributed to it did actually find a way to follow up this amazing holiday in the few years since? We did the same holiday and are definitely finding it a tough one to beat...!

Pondering a rail trip through the Alps for next summer - completely different!

We did a boat trip in Borneo, then had a boat around Komodo, rounded off with Bali stay. Loads of activities, loads to see in Indonesia.
