Help me decide what holiday I want

For next summer June/July/August.
Me and DSes (11 and 15 next year)
Budget approx £1500
We don’t holiday normally. If we do it’s usually a weekend/3 days in ROI have had one AI holiday in Majorca a few years ago and we loved it.

I live in NI and am torn between hiring a campervan and doing a jump around some different spots in ROI and booking another AI abroad. I’m not the biggest fan of camping but will tolerate if it’s on good sites/areas with loads to entertain us all. Would much prefer to lay by the pool in the sun but DC would only tolerate that for so long before boredom ruins the holiday for all of us. If going abroad would want beach and close to water park/activities plus half decent evening entertainment for them.

Any ideas or recommendations?

Just been on a 2-week AI a week before most UK schools break up, and we paid for 3600 for it - the only cheaper options were places I'd never take a daughter (or my wife). Unless your budget is per person, I think you might massively struggle.

For that budget I might be tempted to look at some low cost flights (I know they are awful) and an AirBNB somewhere interesting.

Yes I’ve been having a quick glance at AI and I don’t think I can manage it on that budget.

Air BnB was something I hadn’t considered

If you are willing to hold out until just before you may be able to pick up a 7 day ai deal, I've seen them for this month flights out of Manchester I admit but I wasn't looking at Belfast! Booking ahead you are best off booking flights now then looking for a hotel in a few months

An AI week in Turkey in a hotel with waterslides may come in within budget, take a look on Holiday Pirates or Jet2 Holidays.
Not sure that a camper van holiday is going to work with dc of those ages, too many people in a cramped space, hormones, lack of physical activities..

I was also going to suggest Holiday Pirates. We went to a fantastic 5* hotel in Lanzarote, 5D cinema, the works, and got the holiday half price £1500 instead of £3000.

About 70% of the guests had flown from Dublin. We spoke to one family and they said there had been a ridiculously good deal on flights from Dublin to Lanzarote. No particular reason why. Might be worth a look.

On that budget you should be able to get budget flights and an Airbnb or similar SC apartment, but you definitely won't get AI. I'd look for somewhere that's in a complex with a pool near a water park and some other attractions. Take a look at the Algarve and the Spanish costas - if you go outside the main English school holidays and avoid August you should find somewhere.
