I have been looking at the IT worlds lightest ones that they have in Argos/Matalan-does anyone on here have these and can recommend them?

Are 2 wheels best? Or 4 or 8??

I have these! I really like them - they are noticeable lighter so obviously your actual stuff can then weigh more. For bigger ones I would get at least 4 wheels, it doesn't matter for the hand luggage size as much.

Brilliant-thank you! Do the 4 wheels move around more easily?

We've got them too but only the 2 wheel versions

4 wheel suitcases are much easier to steer through airports and streets etc and take no effort.
Ours are Tripp ones brought from Debenhams for about £45. Supposedly half price but they are on offer every year.
The other ones we have are American Tourister from Costco.

TK Maxx is your friend here, OP, they have loads at the moment.

Tripp ones are great.

We have IT cases. It’s like dragging a dead body. Ours won’t go on 4 wheels. They are heading for the bin.

suze28 · 28/07/2019 20:06

I've just bought 4 wheel Tripp cases from Debenhams and they seem decent. 5 year guarantee too.

WaitingForAGovernment · 28/07/2019 20:08

Our Tripp ones are great - but you do need a distinctive luggage label, as there are a lot of them on the baggage reclaim!

delilahbucket · 28/07/2019 20:13

Love our IT cases. They've travelled many a time on airlines and survived. Couldn't say the same about the designer hardshell ones we once bought. They managed one flight. Will only have softshell ones now.

We have 4 wheel IT ones, they are great (& have 10 year guarantee)

userxx · 30/07/2019 00:06

I've just bought one, can't believe how light it is. It's got 4 wheels and zips around my lounge nicely.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 30/07/2019 16:49

The IT ones are really good - and 4 wheels = a revelation!

Greenteandchives · 30/07/2019 16:53

We have bright yellow Tripps. No problem spotting them at baggage claim, and so far pretty sturdy despite several long haul outings.
I recommend 4 wheels. Much easier to manoeuvre in busy areas as you can keep them closer to you.

sugarbum · 30/07/2019 16:57

We have two sort of medium sized ones. I love them. 4 wheels are fab. I don't think they are IT branded but they look the same - got them from JTF.

Buy North Face luggage. It might cost a lot, but worth every single penny. We have rolling luggage, duffel bags, small daysacks, etc etc and every one has been faultless.
