Suitcase for an 8 year old girl

This is on dd1's birthday list as she has decided she's outgrown her trunki. Sounds like a reasonable request but not sure what kind to get her. Think she has something more exciting in mind than anything we currently own, and not too huge, but with room to pack her own stuff in, especially for things like Brownie camp, and not babyish. What do your kids use?

Mine both have these (they're often on offer) they're a bit more 'grown-up' and come in some lovely colours.

Mine had Kipling cabin cases at that age. Nice colours and robust. They’re still usable despite many years of use, including interailing!

Thanks both! These look good (the Tripp ones perhaps being more on budget bearing in mind the rest of her list!)

We have the Tripp too - for a 6yr old and 11 yr old!

If you also look for a Brownie camp check if they are happy with suitcases. Most prefer hold-all.

For suitcases, DD has a Kipling one, handluggage size but fits enough clothes for a short trip. We still prefer a backpack for handluggage for out main holiday and a normal suitcase for hold luggage but it is ok for weekend trips or handluggage only ones.
