I just looked on the Britax Fitfinder to see if my evolva will fit in my new car (Honda Civic), which it does, but it says 'engage ALR'. Does anyone know what this means? TIA!

No idea - what seat is it, I have the Honda CRV with the same seatbelt configuration, and most Britax seats fit find. I have a Britax first class and it's huge but it does fit (but once it's in you don't fancy taking it out again as it takes a while).

Check your manual?

This lady explains it better than I can

but if you are to lazy to click the link it's basically to pull your seatbelt out the whole way and then let it back in
