booked with Thomsons online on Sat.realized they only send a confirmation email and haven't got a printer! I've tried nearly all day to get through to their helpline to no avail.i've tried to email them.i've rang other Thomsons helplines who've "put me through to a certain extension" and all i've got is that tune that they play on all their flights. now i appreciate that my query isn't taking priority but they don't know that. i rang right up until the 6pm mark.got no answer.what if i'd been travelling today? I'm getting a bit edgy now.hope i've done the right thing. anyone else booked with then online? did everything go to plan even though you had no actual paperwork (apart from print outs)?

Can you buy a cheap printer or email it to someone with a printer? I use printouts all the time for hotels, flights, national express etc.. you shouldn't have a problem.

Don't get me wrong, i've always recommended Thomsons to everyone but i've always booked in the shop before so that if i need to ask a question, i'm dealt with straight away. Got a funny feeling it ain't gonna happen with the online booking.

email it to me I'll print it ans 1st class it out to you?

bossykate · 25/07/2007 18:25

agree email to someone with a printer. will be quicker and easier than trying to negotiate customer services imho.

Piffle · 25/07/2007 18:26

if you need
[email protected]

oh,right DONTLOOKATMEIAMBORRRING!
Do you use Thomson? Or do you use all different companies? I think i'm just peeved that the phone didn't get answered once...and i kept ringing from about 3 to 6 (on and off of course!).

ok,thanks everyone.
i can actually email it to my hubbie when he's back in the office on Friday but will it be acceptable if it's an email? (he tried to "forward"it to the printer there on Sat night but it didn't work).

as a hijack (of my own thread), I've also done my Post Office Travel Insurance online this time aswell. They did send me the documents which seem ok.Only thing I don't understand: what "y" under the word "related" means. (or-am i totally thick?!-Is this what it means:that we are all related?!

It probably means yes.

Printed confirmations are like e-tickets and are completely valid. I've booked many flights etc online, some require the printed e-ticket with barcode sometimes a reference number is all that is needed (ferries for example)
