Best Hotel and Parking at Stansted

We're off from Stansted as sparrowfart'o'clock and therefore need a hotel and parking for 10 days in August.

Which are the best hotel/parking packages you've come across - I've not flown from Stansted before so how long does the transfer take from the car parks.

We will be able to check our bags through the day before so we can go straight thru to security.

Thanks!

Do not under any circumstances use Stansted's own valet parking!

Have flown a lot from Stansted and usually use valet parking due to the arriving in early hours issue. TBH the longstay car parks are fine and only 15-20 min away.

Have used most of the alternative valet providers but Stansted itself is dreadful - have been stuck in massive queues waiting to get in to drop off the car, and on return a massive queue to pick up the keys, including watching people's relationships break down with the stress. And god knows where they had left the car as it was covered in bird mess.

Also just because you are arriving at sparrow's fart don't expect it to be quiet at Stansted - I think that's their busiest time. Leave a lot of time for security which is often heaving and very very loud.

Thanks Anna

I’ve been wary of Valet parking for the reasons you bring up!

The easiest one is probably the new Hampton hotel, you can park in long or mid—stay the night before and get the bus to the terminal. Walk from there to the hotel.

If you are flying Jet2, use their twilight drop off and you can get rid of your hold luggage the night before too.

I used the Ramada at Birchanger at Easter- about a 7 minute drive from mid-stay and good value, clean but basic. You can get dinner there, but limited vegetarian choice. We ate at the motorway services next door (classy) and bought snacks from the M&S food store.
