Planning a big holiday (we usually go to Europe) in a couple of years to japan.

Apart from wanting to go to Tokyo and Kyoto (which I definitely want to go to) there’s simply too many other things to choose from to do.

Has anyone got any suggestions for itinerary?

@Potterhead1985 you can stay in ryokan with a private bath - we stayed in a couple where we had a private terrace with our own onsen. They’re more expensive but worth it if it might be your only onsen experience.

@Swiftier that's a brilliant thing to know. Staying in a Ryokan was on my list anyway so that way I get to do both. Plus private bath means no worrying about getting nekkid with others
