I've just received this email from the Mayflower theatre in Southampton. Apparently it's a cbbeebies production but it doesn't show price tickets but you can look at their website. Just thought some of you may be interested.

Children's Showtime Productions by arrangement with BBC Worldwide and Ben Productions LLC present

Bill & Ben and Andy Pandy Live on Stage - at The Mayflower
Join BILL & BEN for a garden treasure hunt with lots of flobbadob fun, ideal for 2-6 year olds and great entertainment for all the family.

SLOWCOACH, the tortoise, has been reading a book about pirates and hidden treasure. WEED suggests the Flowerpot Men have a competition to see who can find the most treasure.

At first it seems BILL & BEN have not found treasure at all, just rubbish...or have they? Who finds the most treasure? Was it BILL or was it BEN?

In the second half of the show you will be invited into the candy-coloured world of ANDY PANDY, LOOBY LOO and TEDDY, a world filled with endless fun and games.

It is ANDY PANDY's birthday, but he does not know. He wants to play and make a kite, but everyone is busy. All ends well when his friends give ANDY PANDY a wonderful surprise party and a very special present.

A delightfully entertaining show, adapted for the stage, with songs and audience participation.

Come and join in all the fun!

Tuesday 21st September 2004 - 4.30pm
Wednesday 22nd September 2004 - 10.30am and 1.30pm

I think this production currently touring round the country. We took dd to see it in Milton Keynes at end of August. Quite long for little ones - 40 mins of Bill & Ben, then 10 minute interval, followed by Andy Pandy. Good production, lots of audience participation. Bill & Ben much more appealing & funny than Andy Pandy. Would definitely recommend it.

dd (2.5) loved Bill & Ben and still talks about it even though we saw it about a month ago. AP was a bit dull, with much less singing in it. It was very well done, professional and slick. I would recommend it, although dd was getting a little tired by the end.

We saw this in Feb at Sunderland with dd (5 1/2) & ds (2 1/4). DD was one of oldest there & enjoyed this, also really enjoyedthe show. DD can be quite naughty & restless, but loved B & B even though he'd only seend it a couple of times on TV. Agree AP wasn't as good & by then he'd had enough which didn't help. Would still recommend it though.
