How many hours do we need to allow to explore it?

was a whole day trip for me including driving the longer but more gentle route up the mountain from near Chio rather than the steep hairpin bends way from further south

Book your cable car tickets in advance, otherwise you will spend 4 hours waiting at the bottom for space in the cable car!

We spent maybe less than an hour on the top but the whole trip took a day by the time we'd driven up and then hung around waiting for ages. We did also stop at a few places on the way down by the side of the road with some interesting rocks and did little walks about.
