Virgin holidays - where would you go?

I’m planning a holiday for next year; around 10 days, May half term or summer holidays. We have £2-3k + £2k virgin holiday vouchers so total £4-5 k for 2 adults, 1 child.
Virgin is mostly focused on USA and Caribbean but I’d rather not go there. H suggested Mexico. We went backpacking round Yukaton when we were young and kid-free and absolutely loved it, but I think a huge AI resort would be completely different and maybe disappointing?
I was thinking Asia. We’ve only been to Hong Kong which seemed very kid friendly. I would love to go to Singapore but not sure our budget would stretch. Thailand seems cheaper but maybe not as nice?
The other option would be an Easter ski trip to Whistler.
Any advice?? Smile

I would highly recommend Thailand. It is super cheap to eat when there and you'll get beautiful food. As for safety it depends on the area, but the same can be said for most places in the world. You could fly into Bangkok and spend a couple of nights there and then take an internal flight down to Koh Samui. There is loads to do in terms of culture, beach and sports activities.

Fair enough about Dubai! (Like I say, I don’t really like it!) As you like cities definitely worth investigating Tokyo and seeing if it fits the budget - good for kids too as there’s a lot of fun stuff there and it’s kid friendly. Plus the food in Japan is great 😉

Langkawi good beach option in Malaysia

We booked Mont Tremblant for Easter skiing one year but got moved to Banff as not enough snow that late in the year. Banff is fabulous but the slopes are all a distance out of town so not great with a young child. Whistler gets a lot of rain.
I would recommend Lake Tahoe in USA. It is the most spectacular place I have ever skied.
We loved Thailand and would go back but I would wait until your DC is older and gets more out of it eg culture/temples. All the places you mention have lovely beaches.

plotholes your trip sounds ace. I’m glad someone loves Singapore! I don’t think we’d have enough time to do all those things. There’s so much stuff I want to do in Singapore I could easily fill a week + there
