New York with kids

I used an Explorers card for four attractions. Bought it from Travel republic as was cheaper.
Do a river cruise - it’s a great way to see it.
Walk lots. We walked everywhere.

Where are you staying? We had an Air B&B in New Jersey. Was perfect for us. How old are the DCs?

My only regret about our trip was that I hadn’t been before. Loved it and will be going again.

Do some research on the subway and tickets. It’s easy to use, but I needed to get my head round it. Much quicker. Plan what’s most important to you. I knew we would just get an over-view and we didn’t do any evening stuff like bars.

Ate one meal out a day (usually about $100ish for five of us), otherwise bakery and pizza.

Harbour cruise (we upgraded pass to all the way round) and Top of the Rock are must-dos. Also 9/11 museum. At the very least, the memorial. Felt important to see it.

Thanks @O4FS we are definitely doing 9/11 museum and we want to do ESB or Top of the rock , both if possible. My kids are not big eaters so we hope to grab some street food in the day. They want to do ice skating and visit plaza hotel and Central Park (home alone fans!) we are taking about 2k spends so hopefully enough to do all the important stuff!

I’d give the Central Park Zoo a swerve though. It’s OK but not worth the money IMO.
