Disneyland Paris, is it worth going?

I've always got the impression that Disneyland Paris was far inferior to its American counterparts and not really worth a trip? Is this true? Has anyone got experience of both?

yes it is worth going but if it is holiday time don't expect to get on many rides.

We went on a busy day and tbh it wasn’t worth it. It’s wasn’t just the queues for the rides - many of which were in the hours - it was the queues for the toilets and the queues to buy food etc and the sheer number of people everywhere.

It is far inferior to Disney Florida (I've done both) but I'd go again a heartbeat.

Mind you that's on the basis that Disney Paris is a much cheaper trip. For less money it's good - hope that makes sense 😁

Not been to Florida but we took our boys to Disneyland Paris s couple years ago for the day when on holiday in France. We are going back to France this summer and plan to go again to do the bits we missed.

It doesn't really compare to America but it is a fraction of the cost as you can do it in a few days compared to 2-3 weeks. Paris was great with my young DD but we are aiming to go to Florida when she is around 10 (can probably only afford to go once so need to know she'll remember it!) but we did have a fab time in Paris.

We went when DD was 5 and enjoyed it because she enjoyed it. I haven't been to the American ones nor would I. At least with EuroDisney you can then spend a few days in Paris afterwards.

Nothing like the US experience. It feels like a theme park albeit with a a Disney theme. Disney World feels like a proper holiday ie above and beyond a theme park.

Personally I thought Phantasiland in Germany was brilliant. Very similar to Disney in lots of ways and the hotel theming was amazing. The rooms in the African hotel overlooked the rollercoaster and beds had a proper canopy and tent style lights. And was cheaper than any of the UK theme parks.

We loved Disneyland Paris and have just booked to go back this summer. It is not really comparable to Florida imo. Florida is much "better". Per night it isn't necessarily that much cheaper than Florida but it's a much easier trip (don't fancy taking 4 under 7 on a 9 hour flight!) We couldn't afford to go to Florida at the moment - either the annual leave or the finances! - but as DLP only needs 3/4 nights we can do it. We also do not relish hot weather so it's nice to go somewhere more temperate while DC are small. We also want something to work towards if that makes sense - if we peak too soon with Florida then Peppa Pig World or Gullivers will never have the same allure Grin

Looking forward to trying Efeteling and Phantasiland too at some point.

Efteling is sensational. It has oodles more than atmosphere than Disney Paris. We love Disney Paris but efteling is better.

We were underwhelmed by dlp. Paultions park much better. We enjoyed the California Disney DLP not in same league

it's not florida... but it's much better than LEGOLAND and good planning gets you lots more rides
