Fab. Yes a full day out. Do the fun fair first and then the safari later. Or else they're pestering all round the safari to go to the fair. Also, as people tend to do them the other way round, the safari should be less busy in teh afternoon. I think (read that elsewhere and it made sense but haven't tested it myself)

It is a really good day out. Good value. Make sure to see the seals!
Far better than Longleat IMO!

We went ast year and had a great day, Ds4 dd2. You can buy food to feed some of the animals which was entertaining especially when we had two large deer type creatures with their heads in the car!
They also had an offer on that you could make a return visit later in the season for free, but we didn't have chance to go back.

I live nearby
Tickets are 9.50 per person under 3's go free.
Avoid peak periods, such as bank holidays due to the traffic as it gets very bad.
Have never done funfair first but it is a good idea and makes sense.
Food is pretty basic, chips burgers etc so maybe take a picnic?
Don't buy tickets for the rides as it is cheaper to buy a wristband.
Sealion show is good and they do animal encounters at different times during the day.

So, I was going to go week commencing the 9th july as mine break up on the 6th, so the logic was go before the majority of schools break up.

Would everyone say fun fair first, animals later?

ds1 loves the fair not fussed on the animals, ds2 and dd love the animals so that might work better.

Anybody know any good places to stay as I live about three hours away, I was going to combine it with a trip to Gullivers.

Make a few days out of it.
