Hey 26 weeks here. Due April 15th.... I have a question!

BABYMOON!! Is anyone else planning a long haul babymoon?

Last time I flew was around 5 weeks ago and to Iceland... (yes, I went pregnant hiking in the freezing cold) 😲 but has anyone ever flown long haul? We're planning on going to L.A for Valentine's Day (4 nights 6 days)

Of course I have flown long haul many times, but not whilst pregnant!! 😅

*flying from U.K. and yes I already know I need a fit to fly letter first :) any experience and tips welcome

If you feel fit and well and your midwife/doctor says you are fit to fly and the airlines will take you then go for it. but on long haul flights you will need to keep your fluid intake well up and also make sure you move around to stop swollen ankles. I get them if I don't walk around every hour on a long haul flight (and I am not pregnant) and it is really unpleasant and uncomfortable for several days afterwards. also don't underestimate how different you will feel as you get towards the end of your pregnancy as you might have sailed through until now but struggle in the last trimester.

Flew at 26/7 weeks to Barbados. Fine on way out there, way back was agony with SPD I ended up lying on the floor by the emergency exit 😂

@Spanglylycra oh lord I'd totally want to lay down! What is SPD?!

SPD/ or you may have heard of PGP - pelvic girdle pain - when your hips and pelvis start to go due to relaxin hormone.
