Any post office employees here- preferential student rates on currency

I believe that holders of an NUS card ( which I have) get higher rates on currency at the PO. Is it much different - I’m only changing £300 so no point driving the extra few miles if not. TIA

Don’t know about that but you can get much better rates than the post office.

Can’t see anything on UNiDAYS or TOTUM. So I don’t think there’s a discount.

You’re better off getting a starling bank account that you can use the debit card free abroad and you get the MasterCard day rate.

It’s definitely a thing ( see above) plus when I took DS for some holiday money the lady told me then, we didn’t do it that time as he didn’t have his ID with him.

I’m not that fussed as we are only going to Poland for a short break.

As I say not listed on the apps but hey ho. Looking at the list of branches it’s very limited round here

I stick with starling bank as best rested.

Look money saving expert Website for best rates for foreign currency. Or get a Halifax credit card to use abroad or similar card

Or a starling current account with debit card. No fees for abroad and MasterCard day rate
