Dream job or wishful thinking ?!!

I am currently undecided with what I want to do with my life and have decided to go travelling this year in Asia and surrounding areas. I am planning on documenting my travels through blogging or vlogging (my dream being that this would eventually lead to some sort of work ?! Wishful thinking I know !!)but feel as though these are very saturated markets and therefore I won’t get very far. I’m looking for some ideas of ways in which I can reach an audience in a new and entertaining way via social media as I’m sure many of you are far more imaginative!! :))) I will be leaving my current job before I leave btw.

Inbetweenbutfun if I were you, I would try and get interest before you go, from as many places as you can.

EG a local radio station or newspaper, a national paper, a travel site on line etc, see who wants what and what exclusivity they require.

Are there themes to your travel, on a shoe string, historical sights etc?

I read quite a lot of travel blogs, and the main thing I’d say is that you need to be good at writing (grammar, punctuation, creative), and a great photographer. I’d also look at finding a niche, and not just doing the regular backpacker places / things.

I like reading blogs where the author conveys useful info as well as interesting stories, e.g. ‘I ordered train tickets in advance for this route in Sri Lanka - this is how I did it and this is how much it cost’.
