Looking for hotel or resort with three bedroom villa or room

mummyandmeguru · 09/12/2018 12:58

Hoping someone might be able to help, and any assistance much appreciated.

We have a DD and a DS but for various reasons, they do not sleep well unless in their own rooms.

We have stayed in villas in the past, but would really like to find a hotel or resort where we don't have to cook and, ideally, where there is a kids club or kids pool or similar.

There are loads of places with 2 bed family suites but can't find anything with a 3 bed option.

Any ideas? Could be anywhere in Europe / Turkey, possibly even further afield.

Thanks in advance!

We stayed at the Hamilton Court, Santo Thomas , Menorca when DC were tiny. They have 1 to 4 bedroomed apartments with a pool and restaurant right by the beach. Ground floor apartments have a gated garden.

Martinhal Sagres in Portugal or Forte Village in Sardinia.

Weneedhelpnow · 10/12/2018 05:58

Hotel Villa Maria in Tenerife.

@Sunshineonleaf @Ricekrispie22 and @Weneedhelpnow - thanks very much for the suggestions so far - busy looking these up and working through them.

@christravelwizard - many thanks for the message. We're keen to look for either an in resort villa, or a 'room' / suite with 3+ bedrooms in, which would allow us to combine the benefits of lazing around and eating at a hotel with the space (and chance of rest) afforded by multiple bedrooms. Interconnecting rooms could work, though we'd need to find a hotel which might be able to link three together (whereas I understand most come in 'pairs').

Hi @mummyandmeguru,
You’re welcome! It’s my pleasure. If you give me a day or so, I’ll point out half a dozen or so resorts that will fit your requirements and come back to you. I know you said you’d be interested in Europe, Turkey and possibly further afield so I’ll look around 4-7 hours flying time. Was there a particular time (given school rules and holidays) you had in mind?

mummyandmeguru · 13/12/2018 13:14

Hi @christravelwizard - very kind. Thinking of late July / August time, so peak season, I'm afraid. Any suggestions much appreciated.

Hi @mummyandmeguru,
I've got a few suggestions and I'm just waiting for 2-3 more to come in and I'll send them across to you - the dates are really helpful so thanks a lot. Smile
Best!
Chris

Following as I'm also looking for this.

GoodHeavensNoImAChicken · 14/12/2018 16:27

The landings St Lucia had 3 bedroom hotel rooms - extremely £££ but beautiful and great for families

StateofIndependance · 14/12/2018 16:35

Martinhal Cascais also has villas.

Rollerbird · 14/12/2018 20:24

I'm looking forward to seeing this too!

mummyandmeguru · 15/12/2018 23:59

There is clearly a market opportunity then Smile

The trick seems to be finding something that fits the bill and yet is not too £££ - Martinhal seems to be closest thus far, though all suggestions very much appreciated.

Mousses in Lefkada, you book through Simpson travel. This has 2, 3 bed villas with own pool but also on site restaurant & kids club and great beaches nearby. Totally fab place.

bitofabelly · 28/12/2018 11:40

Did Chris ever come back on this, I would be very interested too

mummyandmeguru · 02/01/2019 10:50

Hi @starsinyourpies - have you been to Mousses. Have seen that before and looks like a good concept, but would be v interested to hear from someone who has tested it as it is not cheap and something of an investment.

@christravelwizard very grateful for help so far and for any other suggestions you (or others) might have.

Happy new year all!

starsinyourpies · 02/01/2019 12:34

It's the kind of place people go back to every year, we love it as it is small so only around 10 families but has great facilities and amazing beaches close by. Going again this year probably!

christravelwizard · 02/01/2019 14:10

Hi @mummyandmeguru, @bitofabelly, @rollerbird and others,
Firstly, welcome to the New Year, full of things that have never been!
Secondly, please accept my apologies for not replying sooner. My father passed away in August and my mum was in hospital over Christmas so I've come to realise that the way you see your life shapes your life, so I'm looking forward to new perspectives.
With regards to the 3 bedroom villa options that are embedded in excellent resorts, I've created a Word document that has 7 very good options that give you all you're looking for.
There is of course, a wide variety of prices and locations, but I’ve focused on the following aspects based on the input I’ve been hearing:

• The need to have great hotel facilities – it’s important for parents to be able to relax too
• Wide choice of facilities, restaurants and activities to suit children of different ages and
• Good reviews of kids clubs and childrens’ activities
• Great spa facilities for frazzled parents! 😊
I’ve excluded anything that’s over 6 hours flying and also excluded the Caribbean as it’s hurricane season from July – October.
I have about 18 other options if anyone wants to see more.
I've tried to attached the file to this message (it's got images of the villas and facilities) but the system doesn't load a Word document ( I think).
Any ideas how I can get this to you all? Please let me know.
Best!

mummyandmeguru · 02/01/2019 20:11

Hi @christravelwizard

Firstly, very sorry to hear of the loss of your father and of your mother's illness - hoping that you mother is on the mend and doing ok.

Secondly, thank you for what sounds like some exciting options. No idea how to upload a document, I'm afraid, but could a screenshot work as an image file? Or could you pm a contact email address?

OP posts:
christravelwizard · 02/01/2019 20:16

Hi @mummyandmeguru,
Thank you - it's really kind of you.
Great idea to pm my contact details - I dodn't think of that! Smile!
If anybody else would like the options or the other ones, please pm me ( I hope that's not breaking any rules).
Best! :-)
Chris

bitofabelly · 03/01/2019 19:31

christravelwizard · 03/01/2019 20:39
