Hi folks,

I am new here but have been a lurker for a while, I have 2 sons aged nearly 1 and nearly 3, and me and my partner go on our first weeks holiday on saturday. To say I am excited is an understatment!

We are only going to north Wales but we are going by trail and have quite a bit of stuff to take with us. So a question for the more experienced travellers with kids, is there anything that is absolutly essential that I need to take with me that I may have overlooked.

OK, ta, sorry my first post is a little long.

lol dont know if I am more experienced but I have 3 children under 3.5yrs. In north wales there is loads to do[I am in liverpool so been there a few times] day trips out to farms, beaches, shops etc. I am sure you are probably completely over packing but just make sure a little bag of toys for them each, paper and crayons, nappies, toiletries, clothes, suntanlotion
costumes
d o you have facilitie to cook/wash clothes etc?

electrongirl · 21/06/2007 10:49

Hi Nemo,

I am in liverpool too:-) Toys are definatly a good idea, cant possibly go without Pat and his van!

Yes we can cook and wash clothes, we are renting a little cottage so should be nice. I suppose if I can wash clothes I dont need to take as many as I might.

Do you know of anywhere near Conwy that is defs worth a look?

I LOVE Wales (have had many lovely holidays there), and north Wales is lovely. I am sure you will have a lovely time. My kids are abit older now but I usually take sun cream (just in case sunny) and sun hats, small first aid kit with plasters, cream etc, good rucksack for day trips out, few toys, NO felt tips/crayons (due to DD 'decorating' the bedding in Anglesey once) You can buy most stuff like buckets and spades in Wales. Conwy castle is nice and there is a butterfly jungle if your LO's like animals. Loads other stuff around too.

Thanks Jellybeans,

good sound advice about the felt tips! Ha I bet that was fun to clean up!

I have seen the website of the butterfly jungle and it sound fab, we will defs be going there.
