when is tulip season in amsterdam??

is it ONLY during spring?
ie if i go in july, will there be NO tulips?
(sorry if daft question)

The Keukenhof will be closed - the big garden where you view all the bulbs. We were there in early May and they were just beginning to be past their best.
Not sure about flower market in Amsterdam though, they probably grow them in greenhouses all year round.

Plenty other stuff to see besides tulips though! :-)
