Mum's and daughters long weekend in Spain

Please can anyone recommend places/hotels for a long weekend next July in Spain? It will be with my Mum, MIL and SILs for my 40th - but I'm struggling to find something that's affordable for everyone in the group. We all want to relax by the pool and eat great food. Needs to be under £500 pp inc flights. Ideally great places to eat and drink within walking distance of the hotel. I don't mind if it's a city or resort hotel just looking for nice as possible hotel/area within budget and not a Brits on the piss type place. I've never been on holiday without the kids and I'm beyond excited!!!!

www.booking.com/Share-cU6gV5 something like this? Port de soller is great, in a beautiful mountain setting, connected to the market town by an old fashioned tram (and buses). Easyjet Or BA to Palma, should easily come in at less than 500 all together.

Barcelona can be doable. We stayed near the beach and it was a short taxi journey into the centre. It was great.

Have you thought about Malaga?
We've just had 11 nights in Nerja(45mins drive from Malaga )then 2 nights in Malaga it's self.
Beautiful city, old town, lots of history, nice port and beach, beautiful park in the middle of the city. Lots of lovely shops as well as great Tapas etc.
We stayed in an apartment in Malaga which was lovely but no pool however
what about this hotel?
http://www.hotelmolinalario.com/en, I always then to use hotel booking sites
Flights can be really reasonable as well, we only paid £500 for 4 in August, I always use skyscanner as well.
Didn't hire a car but used cabs
56 Euro one way to Nerja and cab from Malaga to the airport was 25 Euro.

Have a look at Agroturismo sa Rota d'en Palerm.

H10 Casanova hotel in Barcelona might be within budget, pool and close to tourist attractions.

Valencia is so much nicer than Barcelona. It has everything on a smaller scale. Much friendlier, lovely restaurants, historic buildings including a very rude gargoyle,
My daughter is there at the moment in an airBnB and likes it as much as we did.
Everything was walking or cycling distance and there was a fabulous traffic free park that meant you could cycle or walk, on the flat, past the opera house and biosphere to the port and beach.
