Should I take M4/M5 or M3/A303?
I'm planning on leaving tomorrow morning around 7am.
or is it 6 of one and half a dozen of the other?

TIA

My ex/h lives S.East london and regularly travels down to cornwall to visit the dcs and always uses m3/a303. Dunno if helps at all but that is his preference. Smile

M4/M5

Don’t be fooled into thinking the 303 is like an actual A road all the way. Horrible road. Not dual all the way.

I always go A303 few times I've taken M4 M5 it has turned out to be horrible. Roadworks and crashes galore. Only mildly annoying thing about the A303 is Stonehenge...get over it people!

I do this trip a lot. M4/M5 is always my preference.

M4/5. The A303 is not a motorway it is the Highway to Hell.

thanks all.
We did M4/M5 both ways and it wasn't too bad at all (flipping long though).
A few rubber neckers caused a hold up on the M4 but otherwise, it was a decent run.
