Carvoeiro boat trips? Caves? Dolphins?

We're off to Olhos de Agua, near Albufeira and a friend has recommended doing a boat trip from Carvoeiro, to some caves where you can swim. I had a quick Google and it looks great. oes anyone know if it's suitable for a 7 year old and a 10 year old (good swimmers) and if so, where would be a good place nearby to do just a boat trip, without swimming. And how much it might cost? We don't have huge amounts to spend (driving over from where we live in Spain, so it's a cheap holiday for us) and are also committed to doing Zoomarine, so have to budget for that.

Thanks!

I mean, if it's not suitable, where would be good for just a boat trip.

There is a poster on here called Costacoffee that lives in Carvoeiro she would probably be able to help. If not try the Algarve forums on tripadvisor. Enjoy it is a lovely area.

When we went to Carvoiero a few years ago we went on a boat trip that took you round the caves. We didn't do any swimming, and although we weren't specifically looking for dolphins we did manage to see some in the distance.

I don't think you could get a boat from there to do dolphin watching, but there were other places nearby that you could. These boats go further out and I think the ride can be fast and the water can be rough (this put DS off, so we did the quieter cave trip)

We’ve just got back from a week in Carvoeiro. We did a dolphin trip with Wild Watch in Ferragudo, about a 20 min drive away. It was fantastic! We saw a huge group of dolphins feeding, the crew estimated there were over 100 which is apparently not as many as they usually see together. They film the trip on a go pro then email it to you afterwards at no extra cost, lovely little touch which means we have some great film to look back at. After the boat trip you go back to base for coffee and cake and a little talk on conservation, chance to ask questions etc and see the highlights of the footage.

We got back from Carvoiero just over 2 weeks ago. We went on a "family fun" boat trip from Alvor, which is up the coast a bit, to the west. Boat only held 12 so just us and another family. Stopped off for some beach combing, then for some swimming/snorkelling and paddle boarding and finally the kids all got a go on the banana boat on the way back. It was great. Can't remember the name of the company but try googling. There are at least 2 companies who do it from Alvor.
