Woburn or Longleat safari?

Hello all,
I hope somebody on here has recently been to Woburn and /or Longleat, and can recommend one of them?
I plan to take my parents to one of them, they are only visiting the UK on a short trip, so obviously want to show them the better one.
I'll be driving from London, so Woburn is nearer. But sounds like Longleat has more things to see (the House). Parents won't want to walk too much, so that is also a consideration.
But, specifically, dear MN users, which one of them has a better animal collection?
Thsnk you

That's a really hard questions. Woburn has bears and sea lions (which do shows) and Woburn has more elephants (which you can feed at certain times). However, Longleat has the gorillas and hippos.
Yes, Longleat does have the house and gardens, but Woburn Abbey also has good grounds including a maze!
Sorry I've been no help!

Thank you for your response :-)

TripAdvisor has directly contradictory reviews as well on the same day, from people saying "the other one is better".
I think maybe its just how it is on the day, animals are unpredictable!!!

We went to Longleat, camped nearby and got a 2 day ticket! Well worth it!!

If it’s mainly animals you are going for then the best drive through is at the West Midland safari park imo ( and I’ve done them all in recent years) . Woburn would come second and Longleat third , purely based on animals .

What about Whipsnade? We've just been to Longleat and although we had a fabulous day, I think Whipsnade has a better selection of animals. It is big but you can take the car in and drive from area to area, then get out an explore. You can't drive through safari style though.

Thanks all. To update, I did go to Longleast last week. Managed to get there on a cloudy day, but no rain. Saw loads of animals, did the boat cruise to see the gorillas and the seals. I can see why people would want to get the 2-day ticket and camp overnight - there was so much to do. Absolutely enjoyed it.
btw, watch out for the monkey section - they do like hitching rides on the cars and trying to chew on the aerials :-)

I've recently been to Longleat - we used the bus to go round the safari park. Saves your car from the monkeys, and you get a more elevated view of the animals; plus the driver can fully enjoy the experience. Well worth the extra cost in our view.

Woburn also has a house that you can see, a great cafe which serves a lovely afternoon tea (invented at Woburn by the Duchess of Bedford in the 1800s).

As well as the house, grounds and safari park, there is a gorgeous little village you can visit which is close by, and if you fancy a great lunch, visit The Birch which is halfway between Woburn and Woburn Sands.

I love Woburn!
