Desperate for a holiday in the sun with 1 yr old - Nov ? Any suggestions?

I've just come through a really difficuilt year( long story ) and am looking for a place to go for a winter holiday. It will be our first holiday as a family, with ds who is now 1 and we'd like a nice apartment, perhaps in a complex with a pool, but very close to the ocean. Somewhere warm enough to swim but not baking during Nov- nothing too touristy and certainly not roudy as those days are over!

Hi Jzee, unfortunately I can't recommend a villa etc as we went to CentreParcs (Elvedon Forest ) when ds was 5 months....and haven't been to one yet....sure some well travelled mumsnetters will be able to help you though....do you have any particular places you do want to stay in like Spain, Greece etc..

me my dp,ds and my parents went to alcudia in may, my ds was 1 while we were there, we went to hotel Delfin azul, which is really a good family resort. we loved it, the beach is just a short walk away hense across a busy road, but not roudy at all, a greart family holiday, we would definatly go again

how about an apartment on La Gomera in the Canaries - not uncommercial like a lot of places in the Canaries - i recommend a company called Traveller's Way: Secret Canaries. they have some nice self catering apartments (with and without pools) on the island and in November it shouldn't be too expensive either. Whether would be nice but certainly not baking.
i wish i could do links so you could just click on, but their website is www.travellersway.co.uk
Like so much else though it all depends on how much money you want to spend!!
