Hi everyone, long time lurker feeling very overwhelmed and desperately in need of holiday help. My husband and I are keen to go somewhere in Europe in late September/Early October, flying from Belfast or Dublin and I will be 24 weeks pregnant so Zika is an issue. We're in our 40s and want somewhere that doesn't have lots of kids (final hurrah before we have our own) and would like somewhere warm enough to sit beside a pool/swim in the Ocean. Good food is a must and it would be great to be on the edge of a resort rather than in the thick of things.

We're completely open to hotel/air bnb/villa and would prefer not to go AI as like eating out at a variety of places and possibly hiring a car.

Places suggested so far by friends are Northern Majorca, Tavira, Nerja but also considering Croatia but really don't know where to start as most days, I don't even know what I want for dinner that night.....

It won't be that warm in those places, do you want to sit on a beach? If so I'd look at the canaries or Cyprus.

We went to the algarve mid-late September last year when I was about 25 eeeks pregnant and it was perfect. They were having a really hot late summer so some days were actually scorchio but we did nothing but sit round the pool all day (sea was a bit chilly but the Atlantic always is!) and drive to a different town/village in the evening. Lovely and quiet too.

Thanks guys, normally I’d take a chance but I know I’m massively overthinking this as I don’t know how I’m going to feel in 6 weeks time! Been to Cyprus years ago and loved it but do fancy somewhere new so leaning towards The Algarve.
