Aparthotels/self-catering - Tenerife

I’m trying to book a holiday for myself, husband and 1yr old in December. For ease we’re thinking of going to Tenerife as we’ve been before and know the weather is usually good.

We would rather stay in an aparthotel or self-catering place with two bedrooms but I am struggling to find a suitable holiday. Can anyone recommend somewhere? We’d be flying from Scotland.

We stayed at Recency Torviscas Aparthotel recently and it had the best self-catering facilities I've ever come across. It was fab. The only drawback for you, may be that it's at the top of a hill. We walked down the hill to the lovely Fanabe beach, within about 10 minutes. Coming back, you could get a taxi up for 4 euros but we walked it every day to make up for all the ice cream we were consuming. The hotel offers a free minibus run each day, to 3 other resorts and gives you a timetable for it when you arrive. Have a look at the reviews on Trip Advisor. We booked through Loveholidays.

Sounds great, I’ll check it out! Top of the hill is fine for us, we’re pretty active and also like to work off the ice cream. I haven’t heard of Loveholidays either so will see what they have. Thanks!

we've stayed at Regency county club, a bit further out but lovely infinity pool and very spacious 2 bed apartments- try and get a poolside one its worth the extra. Very pricey these days though may be worth booking through jet2 which can be cheaper.

It’s a couple of years since we last went to the Canary Islands and I was thinking prices seemed higher. Will check out Regency too, thanks for the tip.

hotel villa Maria is good. Self catering and nice play area/ kids splash pool. Can book through tots to travel if you want all baby essentials. But again it's on the top of the hill so have to use the shuttle bus to the beach!
