Holiday on Gozo with teenagers

We are traveling to Malta at August Bank Holiday with two teens and a nine and ten year old. Bookings.com have just cancelled our appartments in Bugibba saying the building is closed. We have searched for new accommodation but the best choice ,and the cheapest , are properties on Gozo.
My last experience of Gozo was a day trip 20 years ago and it was very quiet. Has anybody been with children and found things to do and was it easy to go over to Malta? Any advice appreciated.

You can visit the Gozo Glass studio in the Ta’Dbiegi Crafts Village near San Lawrenz to watch the glass blowing.
Hire kayaks or do a tour. We took a great 2 hour tour with Gozo Adventures along the North coast of Gozo. Our guide was a skilled instructor and had a lot of fun showing us the island and even a secret cave!
Hire bikes
We took a boat trip from Xlendi Bay to Comino Bay with Xlendi Bay Water Sports. Owner Louis was very friendly and although the water was incredibly choppy (flying out of your seat at every wave), our driver did his best not to throw us overboard (and not to laugh at us too hard – we (ok I) screamed a lot).
We saw people having a Segway tour which looked like a lot of fun. We also saw this quad bike tour advertised a lot www.gozoquadhire.com
Once you're over there, buy a snorkel or two. Show them a few YouTube clips about how to do it and they'll pick it up really quickly.
There are several opportunities to rock climb and abseil.

I went to gozo as a teenager and we scuba dived everyday.

Thank you for your replies. Only two of the children are good swimmers so scuba diving probably out . They do all enjoy splashing in the pool though.

Very easy to get to and from Gozo - you just get on the next ferry, no need to book.

It's about 5 euro per person return and you only pay for the Gozo to Malta direction.

Marsalforn is the biggest resort and that's small and quiet. It has a lovely row of restaurants, most of which do amazing pizza on the sea front. There is a small beach

Ramla Bay is the biggest beach - for a family, you'd probably best get a taxi - the bus takes a while and will be no cheaper.

Look for day trips to the Blue Lagoon at Comino.
