Yes - we had five days there 3 years ago. We’d spent a couple of nights in a really beautiful riad in the medina and at first I wasn’t blown away as by comparison it didn’t have the wow factor. It did really grow on me though! The check in process wasn’t great & seemed to involve a lot of paperwork. They also mixed my Dads hotel bill up with someone else’s which was a hassle so do check it! The rooms are pretty big & there’s a curtained off area for kids so you get some semblance of privacy! The rooms were clean & there wasn’t any noise. There’s a couple of pools (one with a couple of water slides in front of the reception) & there’s free access to the water park which is next door. You have to pay for drinks there. I had a few ?? about a few of the water park slides from a safety perspective but my DD (then 7) and my DH had lots of fun while I wussed our on a lounger. The buffet selection is ok - my DD is very fussy & Im vegetarian - there was always something we both could eat. The alcohol is drinkable but pretty industrial! If you’re AI like we were, only one of the restaurants is free. The entertainers were pretty full on but did a good job & there’s a nightly mini disco. There’s also a bus you can book (think it was free but could be wrong!) that goes into Marrakech regularly. There’s a tour office on site - their tours were twice the price of what we paid using another tour place next to our Riad though. You also have to rent towels so don’t loose the slip! It is right on the outskirts of Marrakech so if you stay just there, you’re not going to have a really authentic Marrakech experience - however, after 3 days of getting lost, being hassled & dodging donkeys and mopeds in Marrakech, it did feel a lot more serene! My DD loved it & made a number of British friends who all hung out together. One note of warning though - she did go into the mini club one day with one of her mates and they decided they were bored after half an hour and just walked out to find us. None of the mini club grown ups noticed they were down 2 kids! Overall, we had a really nice time there. The DH really didn’t like Marrakech so we won’t be going back but I probably would! Hope some of this is helpful & please feel free to ask any questions!
